The purpose of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to practice common procedural skills presented in PHAS 5728 Clinical Medicine Skills lecture. Students will begin to develop competencies using task trainers, manikins and other procedural simulation supplies and equipment under direct faculty supervision. Students are expected to demonstrate basic competencies and techniques that optimize patient safety in order to progress to the clinical phase, and will continue to hone these skills throughout the clinical year. Final competency will be re-assessed in PHAS 5925 PA Seminar in anticipation of entry into PA practice.
