Welcome to FranU’s School of Health Professions. Our passion lies in preparing graduates who promote, maintain and restore health and wellbeing of our community. We prepare students by providing a challenging curriculum taught by our experienced faculty. The School of Health Professions strives to educate skilled professionals that embody the Franciscan values of service to our community. Our degree programs at the associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels are embedded with interdisciplinary education in state-of-the-art simulated teaching environments. Our dedicated faculty provide the link between classroom theory and clinical practice through the use of innovative and engaging practices while still providing a personal learning experience. Here at FranU, the School of Health Professions offer degrees in Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assisting, Physician's Assistant, Nutritional studies, Medical Lab Sciences, Respiratory Therapy, and Radiologic Technology. In today’s rapidly growing demand for health care services, the School of Health Professions is uniquely positioned to provide students with a path to enter the health care field. The School of Health Professions encompasses all of the Allied Health programs at the University. Our vision is to develop programs that prepare students to meet the challenges and demands of the ever changing healthcare environment. Students prepare for the challenges of patient and community care environments by demonstrating competency in skills and knowledge related to their course of study and by engaging in inter-disciplinary case studies in our Simulated Environment Teaching Hospital (SETH). Each program provides clinic based internships that prepare students for entry-level competency in their program of study.
