    On Saturday, April 8, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University students, faculty, and staff showed their support in the fight against heart disease and stroke at the 2017 Capital Area Heart Walk. Our team raised more than $5,000 for the American Heart Association’s Capital Area chapter.

    Family members, friends, and University faculty and staff gathered on April 1 to honor the Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2018 during the program's White Coat Ceremony. The White Coat Ceremony is a “rite of passage” for students as they begin their clinical phase.


  • College Announces Name Change

    The Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady announced on October 4, 2016 that Our Lady of the Lake College will change its name to Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University. The announcement was made by Sr. Barbara Arceneaux, Provincial for the Sisters.

  • Alumni Spotlight: Anita Gautreaux, ‘12

    Late in life Anita Gautreaux returned to college to earn a nursing degree. Today she serves her community as a caring long-term care nurse and also as a Eucharistic minister. Her service earned her the Order of St. Louis IX award, given to laity for exceptional service to the Church.


  • Alumni Story: Maggie Falgout ‘87

    Margaret "Maggie" Falgout graduated from the Our Lady of the Lake School of Nursing in 1987. Maggie serves now as the Regional Director for the healthcare technology company, Teletracking, which provides products to hospitals intended to improve patient flow.
