Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University’s 2021-2022 Student Achievement data showed 7 out of 10 clinical programs had 100 percent of their graduates employed within 12 months of graduation.
Those programs include Nurse Anesthesia, Physical Therapy, Family Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences and Radiologic Technology. Respiratory therapy had a 92 percent job placement rate; Physical Therapy Assistant was 89 percent, with the previous academic year being 100 percent for both programs. Data for the Nutritional Sciences program has not yet been provided but was at 92 percent the last academic year.
Assistant Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Research Candi McElheny said, “Students graduating from our clinical healthcare programs are demonstrating the value of their education at FranU as evidenced by their employability after graduation, with many students having one or more job offers ahead of graduation day. Our clinical academic programs, whether associate, bachelors, masters or doctorate-degree level, are normally able to report a 100 percent employment rate within 12 months of graduation. On occasion, this percentage dips, but when that happens, it is most often due to the small number of students graduating from a given program in combination with one or two of the graduates choosing not to pursue a job in their field of study.”
Undergraduate students who graduated from FranU in the Spring of 2022 had an average loan debt of $22,131, which is lower than the national average of $31,820 for private colleges and 26,320 for public colleges.
“At FranU, our mission and values compel us to constantly assess the return on investment for the students who have chosen us for their education and formation. This data validates the low cost of a FranU education compared to many other colleges and universities, the success of our students in passing their licensure or certification exams soon after (or sometimes even before) graduation, strong employer demand and the high salaries associated with the careers that our degrees lead to,” stated Brian Rash, associate provost.
