1. Medical Laboratory Science Faculty

Our Medical Lab Science faculty members are highly-skilled professionals with extensive content expertise and a passion to teach students how to apply practical, clinical knowledge to their future careers.

Deborah Fox, PhD, MT(ASCP)

Deborah Fox is the program director and a certified medical laboratory scientist. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology From Louisiana State University, completed the medical technology program at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center (OLOLRMC), and earned a PhD from Louisiana State University in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in science education and a minor in biological sciences. She has work experience as a medical technologist in microbiology at OLOLRMC. She has been instructing at the University since 1999 and has taught all areas of lecture and lab within the MLS curriculum.

Lauren DeLaune

Lauren DeLaune is the laboratory educator and a certified medical laboratory scientist. She earned a Bachelor’s in Biology from Louisiana State University in 2007 and a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science from Our Lady of the Lake College in 2011. She has clinical experience in the laboratory at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and in the Surveillance and Response Molecular Laboratory for the Louisiana Department of Health. She is currently pursuing a Masters of MLS from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Margaret Devillier, MT (ASCP)

Margaret Devillier is the laboratory assistant/coordinator and a certified medical laboratory scientist with a specialist certification in microbiology. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from University of Louisiana Monroe. She has clinical experience as a medical technologist and assistant supervisor in microbiology at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
