We want our students to succeed in their education and their career. FranU offers career and vocation services — including one-on-one guidance — to assist students with developing the knowledge and skills they’ll need to enter the workforce. The Office of Career and Vocation Services can also help students build their network through annual career events.

Additionally, students have access to College Central, a free online job board where students can search for jobs and other opportunities posted exclusively to FranU.


Handshake

Handshake is FranU's online platform for jobs, internships, recruiting events and career fair details. Within the Handshake platform, Career and Vocation Services partners with employers to bring jobs and internships to students. In addition, this platform allows you to:

  • Apply for full-time and part-time jobs and internships posted explicitly for Franu students and alums
  • Register for informational sessions, networking, or recruiting events hosted by employers
  • Register for networking and opportunity/career fairs, alum panels, and workshops hosted by Franu Career and Vocation Services
  • Schedule 1:1 appointments with Career Services staff for resume and cover letter review, mock interviews, career advising, job/internship search help and more
  • Receive alerts when new positions that match your preferences are posted

Getting Started on Handshake

If you are a current FranU student, you already have a Handshake account. Please log in to your Franu Portal and click Handshake under Sign-On Links.

  • Activate your account and update your job preferences
  • Complete your profile by uploading your headshot photo, adding your experiences, extracurricular activities and skills
  • Submit your resume for Career services review through the "documents" tab. After your resume has been approved, you may start applying for jobs!
