In this course students will learn the theory and practical applications of basic laboratory math. Basic clinical laboratory techniques such as phlebotomy, pipetting, blood smear preparation, physical and chemical urine examination, and other simple hematological, microbiological, and immunohematological techniques are studied and practiced. Principles and procedures for laboratory equipment such as balances, centrifuges, microscopes, and the spectrometer are also covered/practiced.
