The nature and function of health in society and their implication in the processes of health and illness are explored in this course. Population health and epidemiological concepts and methods in a variety of healthcare settings and across a spectrum of disease topics are discussed. Assessment of the health and illness of a community, and the application of the assessment findings to improve health and wellness is the main emphasis of the course.Â
