The purpose of this course is to introduce the principles of patient and public health education. Students will learn to identify the differences and individual needs and circumstances of patients, assess the impact that these have on the adherence to and effectiveness of the physical therapy plan of care, and develop strategies to respond to these differences through behavioral change and education.Â
